Fred M. LeBlanc, 87, of Memramcook East died Monday at Dr Georges Dumont Hospital, Moncton, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Memramcook East, he was a son of the late Marc and Crescense (Gaudet) LeBlanc. He was a storekeeper until retrirement.

His first wife, Rosanne LeBlanc died in 1964. He is survived by his second wife, the former Phélonise Cormier; six daughters, Mrs Lucie LeBlanc of Pré-d’en-Haut, Mrs Ella Gould, Mrs Delbert LeBlanc (Yvonne), both of Moncton, Mrs Adrienne LeBlanc of Dieppe, Mrs Clarence Melanson (Rosa) of Saint-Paul-de-Kent, Mrs Edmond Melanson (Annie) of Oshawa, Ont.; four sons, Camille and Romuald, both of Memramcook East, Joseph of Dieppe and Jimmie of Blind River, Ont; one sister, Mrs Pat Bourgeois (Amanda) of Memramcook East; one brother, Lucien LeBlanc of Dieppe; two step-daughters, Mrs Leonard Rattray (Clarita) of Moncton and Mrs Evelyn Léger of Dieppe; four step-sons, Charley Léger of B.C., Clarence Léger of Ontario, Edgar Léger of Saint John and Hughie LeBlanc of Albert County; 58 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The body is at Dupuis Funeral Home, Memramcook. Funeral mas will be celebrated Thurday at 7 p.m. from Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Memramcook East. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
